Carr & Sons Masonry, Inc. demonstrated their expertise in tilt-up construction with the Academy of the Holy Names Performing Arts Center in Tampa, Florida. This 42,500-square-foot, two-story facility features a 350-seat theater surrounded by spacious art classrooms. Despite challenges such as limited site access and ongoing school activities, tilt-up construction was chosen for its speed, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility. The building showcases cast-in thin brick matching the surrounding school structures, custom reveal and recess designs, balconies with cast-in-place stadium seating, and interior walls—all executed with precision and attention to detail.
